Bilingual Case Manager

Bethany is a leading international Christian nonprofit organization that strengthens and preserves families, supports displaced people, and finds safe, loving families for children in need. We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Bilingual Case Manager to join our team in Nashville, TN.

Job Summary

The Bilingual Case Manager will provide casework and supportive services to children in foster care, foster families, and biological families referred to our Refugee and Immigrant Services TFC program. This role requires a strong understanding of child welfare principles, case management experience, and the ability to work effectively with diverse populations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Complete trauma-focused initial intake assessments and ensure youth feel safe and well-oriented to the agency and foster home.
  • Promptly coordinate contact with youth sponsors and ensure they obtain necessary documentation.
  • Identify sponsors for youth and ensure they receive mandatory services, including mental health, medical, recreational, educational, and other supportive services.
  • Maintain accurate and current information on foster children in care and ensure ORR and Bethany's internal documentation practices and reporting requirements are met.
  • Lead the treatment team and participate in weekly staff meetings with stakeholders.
  • Attend education group sessions and provide on-going education and support services to foster parents.
  • Assist the licensing team in ensuring foster families are well-trained and equipped to support UCs in their home.
  • Translate written and verbal communication for program clientele and staff, if bilingual.
  • Maintain effective communication with community agencies and individuals involved in service provision.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Behavioral Sciences, Human Services, or a Social Services field from an accredited college.
  • Child welfare and/or case management experience is strongly preferred.
  • Bi-lingual English and Spanish, prior experience working with refugee and/or immigrant populations preferred.
  • Mature and stable judgment, sensitivity to various cultures, and excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Demonstrated clinical, therapeutic, and crisis intervention skills.
  • Ability to work independently and exercise a high level of confidentiality.
  • Computer skills sufficient to perform essential functions, including knowledge of Microsoft Office suite.
