Key responsibilities include facilitating orientation, enrollment, and interviews for prospective volunteers, children, and families; conducting introductory meetings to initiate new matches; delivering volunteer training; and offering high-quality support to mentor/child matches, including communication with parents or guardians. - Maintain a consistent contact schedule involving in-person, phone, and electronic communication with volunteers, children, and parents/guardians, ensuring that safety, relationship development, positive youth growth, and volunteer satisfaction are prioritized.

- Continuously evaluate match relationships with a focus on participant safety, development, and satisfaction, making referrals to other resources as necessary.
- Document and track all aspects of match support promptly, adhering to BBBSA and agency standards.
- Conduct evaluation surveys to assess the strength of relationships and the impact of matches on youth development.
- Organize and deliver training sessions for parents and volunteers, curating training materials and resources for effective relationship development.
- Assess the training and support needs of each match participant to ensure a positive experience for both the child and the volunteer.
- Oversee the enrollment process, including interviews, assessments, and match introduction meetings, while assisting with background checks as needed.
- Provide matches with resources for affordable and age-appropriate activities, encouraging participation in agency-organized events.
- Recognize and celebrate match successes and volunteer contributions through personalized acknowledgments and group events.
- At the conclusion of matches, evaluate reasons for closure and potential for rematching, participating in the review of prematurely ended matches to enhance program quality.
- Maintain effective communication with supervisors, promptly addressing any concerns that may affect match relationships.
- Collaborate with BIG Futures program staff to ensure participants meet program milestones, including assessments and curriculum completion.
- Monitor attendance and program progress using surveys and other evaluation tools.
- Act as an ambassador for the agency's mission within the community.
- Assist with additional program or organizational activities as required.
QUALIFICATIONS:
A Bachelor's degree is required, preferably in a social or human services field such as social work, sociology, or psychology.
