POSITION OVERVIEW:
Fresenius Medical Care is seeking a dedicated Dietitian to enhance our interdisciplinary team, providing essential nutritional support to patients facing end-stage renal disease, even if you have limited clinical experience.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Evaluate patients' knowledge and provide education on the relationship between nutrition, kidney health, and treatment outcomes.
- Inform patients, families, and caregivers about nutritional status, fluid management, and relevant laboratory results.
- Conduct comprehensive nutritional evaluations and collaborate with the healthcare team to create individualized care plans.
- Maintain precise medical documentation, including progress notes.
- Provide continuous assessment and guidance to help patients achieve optimal nutritional health.
- Identify patients at risk of malnutrition and coordinate interventions with the healthcare team.
- Monitor and modify nutrition therapy, documenting patient progress and addressing any challenges.
- Collaborate with the team on Urea Kinetic Modeling recommendations.
- Participate in nutrition Quality Assessment & Improvement (QAI) initiatives.
- Analyze and interpret nutrition-related laboratory results.
- Work collaboratively with physicians and facility staff as necessary.
- Maintain dietetic registration and complete continuing education requirements.
EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS:
- Registered Dietitian credentialed by the Commission on Dietetic Registration.
- Board Certified Specialist in Renal Nutrition certification is advantageous.
- Valid state licensure as required.
EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS:
- At least 1 year of clinical nutrition experience as a Registered Dietitian.
- Experience in renal nutrition is preferred.
WORKING CONDITIONS:
- The role involves desk work, computer usage, and interaction with patients, staff, and healthcare providers. Travel between facilities and community locations may be required. Occasional travel for meetings may also be necessary.
- The work environment resembles a healthcare facility, with controlled temperatures and moderate noise levels. There may be potential exposure to infectious materials.
