Job Overview

WeCare Centers is currently in search of a dedicated Food Service Director to oversee our dietary operations. This role is essential in managing and guiding the dietary team, ensuring compliance with established policies and regulations at both the federal and state levels.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead and coordinate small teams in food preparation, serving, and sanitation tasks.
  • Occasionally fulfill the duties of dietary aides, cooks, and dishwashers as necessary.
  • Utilize various industrial kitchen equipment efficiently.
  • Provide leadership and support to maintain high food quality standards.
  • Ensure that customer service expectations are consistently met.
  • Manage and monitor inventory levels effectively.
Qualifications
  • Certification as a Food Safety Manager or Food Handler.
  • Current ServSafe or state certification.
  • CDM/CFPP Certified Dietary Manager / Certified Food Protection Professional.
  • Strong interpersonal skills to interact positively with residents and staff.
  • Familiarity with dining services program requirements and financial aspects.
  • Knowledge of large-scale food production, serving, and sanitation protocols.
  • Ability to maintain accurate records and complete necessary reports.
  • Basic computer proficiency.
