Hydraulic Engineer

We are seeking a highly skilled Hydraulic Engineer to join our team at STV. As a key member of our Transportation & Infrastructure Division, you will be responsible for designing and developing storm water management plans and reports for various projects.
Key Responsibilities:- Prepare storm water management plans and reports for roadway, transit, rail, and culvert/bridge projects.
- Perform hydrologic and hydraulic studies to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Coordinate permitting through various water management agencies to ensure timely project completion.
- Participate in project development meetings with clients to discuss project scope and requirements.
- Coordinate design development and provide technical direction to junior staff members.
- Assist with the development of specifications, cost estimates, and technical reports for projects.
- Establish working relationships with client technical staff and project managers to ensure successful project outcomes.
- Mentor junior water resource design staff to ensure knowledge transfer and skill development.
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Civil, Biological, Agricultural, or related discipline).
- Minimum 8 years of experience in Water Resources and Storm Water Design Engineering, including design of storm drains, culverts, storm water management, BMPs, hydrologic and hydraulic modeling, and floodplain studies.
- NC PE license required.
- Competitive salary range: $99,000 - $133,287.
