Position Overview

The role of a Commercial Loan Officer encompasses the evaluation and management of loan applications within a reputable financial institution. This position is pivotal in ensuring the financial health of the bank by assessing creditworthiness and guiding applicants through the loan process.

Key Responsibilities
  • Evaluate Loan Applications: Scrutinize documentation to confirm the creditworthiness of applicants.
  • Enhance Loan Processes: Provide insights to applicants regarding additional requirements to improve their applications.
  • Decision Making: Approve loans by issuing checks or forwarding applications to the loan committee.
  • Customer Support: Address customer inquiries and provide assistance throughout the loan process.
Candidate Profile

The ideal candidate will possess an entrepreneurial mindset and a strong desire to contribute to a growing financial institution. A successful applicant will have:

  • 3+ years of experience in Commercial Banking or Lending, with a preference for candidates having 10+ years.
  • A background in Agricultural Lending is highly desirable.
  • A Bachelor’s degree or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Demonstrated business development skills and the ability to expand client relationships.
  • Familiarity with sales, loan processing, and closing procedures.
  • Exceptional multitasking abilities and strong interpersonal communication skills.
