Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Clinical Operations Manager to lead our Pediatric Acute Care Unit at Ascension Seton. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for coordinating unit staffing, providing leadership, and ensuring the implementation of clinical objectives and quality patient care.

Key Responsibilities
  • Leadership and Staff Management: Assign, direct, educate, and monitor nursing and support associates during assigned shifts.
  • Shift Planning and Coordination: Meet with staff and exercise independent judgment to plan shifts, services, and patient care.
  • Patient Care and Quality: Assess daily patient care needs and develop and distribute patient care assignments, ensuring that population-appropriate patient care is given.
  • Complaint Resolution: Respond to complaints about patient care and manage through established channels.
  • Resource Management: Facilitate availability of adequate materials, resources, and supplies.
  • Prioritization and Decision-Making: Set priorities appropriate to daily patient/physician dynamics.
  • Staff Development and Evaluation: Provide input into hiring, training, directing, development, and evaluation of staff.
Requirements
  • Licensure and Certification: BLS Provider obtained within 1 month of hire date or job transfer date required. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.
  • Education and Experience: Registered Nurse credentialed from the Texas Board of Nursing obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date required. Required professional licensure/certification and 1 year of cumulative job-specific experience required.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Supervisory Experience: Supervisor RN experience.
  • Pediatric Experience: Pedi RN experience.
