General Surgeon RN

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Registered Nurse to join our General Surgery team at The George Washington University Hospital. As a General Surgery RN, you will provide high-quality patient care to patients undergoing various surgical procedures, including laparoscopic cholecystectomies, tracheostomies, kidney and liver transplants, and trauma patients.
Responsibilities- Provide patient-focused nursing care to patients with various surgical needs
- Manage the Bariatric Surgery Center of Excellence
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure seamless patient care
- Participate in unit-based quality initiatives and evidence-based research
- Develop and implement individualized care plans to meet patient needs
- Current RN license in good standing with state licensing board
- BSN required or enrollment and completion of BSN within 5 years
- Minimum of 1 year of Med Surg experience in an acute care setting
- BLS certification (ACLS within 3 months of hire)
- Up to $3,000 relocation assistance for full-time positions
- Extra shifts bonus of $3,000 (restrictions apply)
- Shift differential of $4 to $8 per hour
- Annual certification bonus of $1,000
- RN Referral Bonus of $5,000
- Monthly commuter subsidy of $100 for full-time employees
