Job Overview

American Battery Technology Company is seeking a highly skilled Controls Engineer to design and implement best-in-class control systems for our proprietary lithium-ion battery recycling facility and primary resource extraction technologies. The ideal candidate will collaborate with our R&D team, plant operations team, and various internal and external experts to ensure our facilities' successful design, construction, and operations.

Key Responsibilities

Design and implement control systems for chemical process systems
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure successful project execution
Develop and maintain PLC code for automation systems
Provide input on instrument specification and selection
Coordinate and ensure the quality installation, start-up, and commissioning of Instrumentation and Controls systems

Requirements

Background in Electrical/Mechanical/Controls Engineering or equivalent experience
2+ years of experience focusing on industrial automation systems
In-depth knowledge of object-oriented programming languages and automation hardware
Experience with a variety of industrial communication protocols and Human Machine Interface systems
