Position: Computed Tomography Technologist

Role Overview

We are seeking a skilled Computed Tomography (CT) Technologist to enhance our healthcare services. The CT Technologist will be tasked with executing tomography procedures and analyzing computed tomography images for diagnostic purposes. The preferred candidate should possess a diploma from an accredited Radiology program and have experience in pediatric imaging.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform a variety of CT examinations, including assisting radiologists with biopsies, cardiac CT, CT Angiograms, and image post-processing.
  • Operate CT machinery and determine appropriate technical settings.
  • Ensure accurate identification on images, including demographic and identification details at all times.
  • Maintain comprehensive documentation of all relevant data.
  • Provide radiation safety for patients, their families, staff, and oneself.
  • Identify, process, transfer, and archive patient examinations, including records, images, and demographic information.
  • Safeguard the integrity and security of radiology information systems.
  • Address and escalate complex issues as necessary.
  • Guide and mentor fellow technologists.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications & Skills

  • A Technical Diploma from a recognized Radiology Program is essential.
  • Must hold a CT license/certification from the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists or the Nuclear Medicine Technology Certification Board, along with CPR Certification from a recognized organization.
  • Basic understanding of CT imaging, picture archiving and communication systems (PACS), and radiology information systems.
  • Familiarity with HIPAA regulations.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Exceptional verbal, written, and interpersonal communication abilities.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Able to perform physical tasks such as walking, standing, stooping, and lifting up to 50 lbs, as well as typing throughout the shift.
