Panasonic Energy of North America (PENA) is seeking highly motivated and detail-oriented interns to join our Facilities Engineering team. As a Facilities Engineer Intern, you will have the opportunity to work on various projects, including site surveys, equipment maintenance, and facilities design.
Responsibilities- Perform site surveys to assess equipment conditions and identify physical locations for facility-related equipment
- Meet internal and external customer requirements using the SQCDP principle
- Review and analyze Facilities Daily Operations Log and round sheets
- Generate Facilities Notices (Aconex) for facilities projects
- Assist in supporting facilities maintenance personnel with troubleshooting equipment and/or design failure issues
- Present project status updates in department meetings
- Assist in the design and selection of plant facilities
- Assist in calculating existing system capacities and utilization for assigned functional areas
- Prepare cost estimates and schedules for assigned projects
- Work with onsite customers to align and request funding for assigned projects
- Monitor and control cost and schedule performance for assigned projects
- Conduct field walks and meetings to align on project scope and sequence with stakeholders
- Assist with failure analysis, generate corrective action proposals, and recommendations
- Interpret regulatory codes for compliance (local, state, and federal)
- Currently enrolled as a full-time student at an accredited four-year college or university
- GPA of 3.2 or higher
- Basic knowledge of project management processes and tools
- Strong problem-solving skills
- Strong organizational skills
- Excellent interpersonal, teamwork, and collaboration skills
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to write and communicate technical information clearly and concisely
- Fluency with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook)
- Ability to apply principles of logical or scientific thinking to a wide range of intellectual and practical problems
- Must have working-level knowledge of the English language, including reading, writing, and speaking English
