Environmental Health and Safety Manager

At Essex Furukawa Magnet Wire US, we are seeking an experienced Environmental, Health, and Safety Engineer to join our team. As a key member of our organization, you will be responsible for developing, implementing, and managing all aspects of our EHS programs to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and promote a culture of safety and sustainability throughout the organization.
Key Responsibilities:- Develop and implement processes to minimize the plant's environmental impact and ensure compliance with environmental regulations at the local, state, and federal levels.
- Conduct environmental assessments and audits to identify areas for improvement and implement corrective actions.
- Lead initiatives to reduce waste, conserve resources, and promote environmental sustainability.
- Develop and implement safety policies, procedures, and training programs to create a safe working environment.
- Conduct regular safety inspections and risk assessments to identify hazards and ensure compliance with safety standards.
- Investigate accidents, near misses, and other safety incidents, and develop strategies to prevent recurrence.
- Provide leadership and collaborate with other departments to promote a culture of safety.
- Stay abreast of changes in environmental, health, and safety regulations and ensure compliance with all applicable laws and standards.
- Interface with regulatory agencies and participate in inspections, audits, and permit renewals.
- Maintain accurate records and documentation related to regulatory compliance activities.
- Degree in Environmental Science, Occupational Health and Safety, or a related field preferred.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in environmental, health, and safety management, preferably in a manufacturing environment.
- Strong knowledge of environmental regulations (e.g., EPA, OSHA) and safety standards.
- Demonstrated leadership skills with the ability to inspire and motivate others.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills.
- Proven track record of driving continuous improvement in EHS performance.
- Certified Safety Professional (CSP) or similar certification.
