We are seeking an experienced ServiceNow Developer to focus on enhancing the Service Portal functionality within our ServiceNow environment. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in application development, particularly in customizing Service Portal for improved self-service and user-friendly features.
Key Responsibilities:
Service Portal Customization:
Customize and enhance the Service Portal to improve user experience, providing quick access to key actions and functionalities.
Portal Experience Development:
Build out the portal experience for existing customized applications, ensuring alignment with user needs and business requirements.
Application Redesign:
Collaborate with the team architect to redesign and build applications within the Service Portal, implementing best practices in user interface design.
Front-End Development:
Focus primarily on front-end development (80%), utilizing HTML, JavaScript, and CSS to create responsive and intuitive user interfaces.
Back-End Support:
Assist the internal team with foundational work on the back end (20%), creating views and logic to support front-end functionality.
Custom Widgets Development:
Build custom widgets using AngularJS to enhance the portal's features and functionalities.
Collaboration:
Work closely with the team architect and other developers, following their guidance on development direction and project requirements.
Support and Maintenance:
Provide ongoing support for the Service Portal and other applications, troubleshooting issues and implementing necessary updates.
Required Skills:
Experience: 5+ years of experience with ServiceNow application development, particularly with Service Portal.
Technical Skills:
Proficiency in HTML, JavaScript, and CSS, with hands-on experience in AngularJS.
Development Expertise:
Familiarity with Business Rules, Client Scripts, UI Policies, and Script Includes.
Workflow Knowledge:
Experience with workflows and flows using the Workflow Editor or Flow Designer.
Custom Applications:
Proven experience in building custom widgets and applications within ServiceNow.
