Elwood Staffing is a leading provider of staffing solutions in the manufacturing and distribution industries. As a Staffing Recruiter, you will play a critical role in placing workers at job sites within a 40-mile radius of our office location. Our team-based approach ensures that you will work closely with a small team to achieve our goals.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Finding and hiring workers to fill job openings in a timely and compliant manner
  • Managing incoming orders from clients and entering job descriptions into our database
  • Writing and publishing job descriptions on our website and public job boards
  • Building a strong pipeline of candidates through social networks and industry connections
  • Interviewing and offering jobs to candidates, as well as communicating rejections in a timely and legal manner
  • Administering drug screens, background checks, and other pre-employment tests
  • Counseling, disciplining, and terminating temporary associates, as needed, and documenting according to standard operating procedures
  • Maintaining open communication channels with clients and associates through quality control calls
  • Developing and implementing a strategic recruiting plan for the market

Desired skills and experience include:

  • Bilingual: fluent in Spanish and English
  • Ability to interact and build relationships with a diverse employee population
  • Ability to maintain a positive and empathetic attitude during emotionally charged conversations
  • Goal-oriented mindset with a willingness to invest in the pursuit of unlimited earning potential
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to quickly master multiple computer-based programs

Elwood Staffing offers a competitive hourly wage, plus uncapped bonus potential, as well as a comprehensive benefits package, including medical, dental, vision, disability, gym membership reimbursement, and more. We also offer a 401(k) plan with a generous annual match, paid time off, and nine paid holidays each year.

A typical day as a Staffing Recruiter may include working Monday through Friday, with the ability to work overtime or on weekends as needed. Once you apply, your resume will be sent directly to and reviewed by the local hiring manager. Qualified candidates will be contacted within 24 hours.
