Position Overview

As a Speech Language Pathologist, you will deliver tailored therapy to patients in accordance with their individual needs and medical guidance. Your role will also involve educating patients and caregivers while coordinating necessary adaptive equipment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct thorough evaluations to determine the extent of disabilities, set treatment goals, and formulate effective treatment plans.
  • Implement treatment programs aimed at restoring optimal function, while continuously assessing and adjusting methods to meet evolving patient needs.
  • Maintain accurate documentation of evaluations and treatments in line with departmental protocols and legal standards.
  • Provide training and guidance to rehabilitation staff, nursing personnel, and students regarding patient care and therapy services.
  • Engage in initiatives aimed at improving patient satisfaction, program development, and overall service quality.
  • Meet productivity standards as established by the department.
  • Enhance professional skills through ongoing education and participation in competency assessments.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree from an accredited speech therapy program is required.
  • Master's Degree or Doctorate from an accredited speech therapy program is preferred.
  • A minimum of 2 years of relevant experience is required.
  • Certification as a Speech Language Pathologist from ASHA is mandatory.
  • State of Michigan Driver's License is required upon hire.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from AHA or ARC is required within 90 days.

Work Environment
This position is part-time with variable hours. Clinics operate from early morning to early evening on weekdays.
