Electrical Maintenance Technician Opportunity

At Vulcan Materials Company, we are seeking an experienced Electrical Maintenance Technician to join our Ready Mix Operations team in Northern California. As an Electrical Maintenance Technician, you will be responsible for promoting safety, repairing and maintaining electronic equipment, troubleshooting and diagnosing equipment, inspecting equipment, structures, and material, and interpreting blueprints and schematics.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Promote safety throughout the operation for yourself and others at all times in accordance with OSHA and Vulcan standards.
  • Service, repair, calibrate, regulate, fine-tune, and test machines, devices, electrical systems, conductors, and associated equipment for ready mix plants.
  • Detect and diagnose all electrical wiring, appliance, fixture, and machinery problems, failing components, and malfunctions while making corrections and striving to improve equipment reliability.
  • Complete scheduled checks of all electrical equipment and systems in order to detect any malfunctions and unsafe conditions throughout the plant.
  • Work with blueprints, schematics, manuals, and other specifications to determine safe and effective installation procedures.

Requirements:
  • Previous experience in construction or industrial electrical work with ready mix or asphalt plants and aggregates is preferred.
  • Prior High Voltage experience is welcome but not a requirement. Candidates will be trained in this area.
  • Must demonstrate a strong knowledge of electrical codes and electrical theory. Motor control is preferred (NEC, NESC, & OSHA).
  • Must be able to work outside in all types of weather conditions and tolerate being exposed to loud noises. Must be willing to work overtime and extended hours depending on customer and company demands.
  • Must have some knowledge of electrical tools, their uses, and maintenance.
  • Valid Driver's License.

Salary Range:
The base salary range for this role is between $55.00 per hour - $67.00 per hour. This range is not inclusive of our discretionary bonus or equity package. When determining a candidate's compensation, we consider a number of factors, including skillset, experience, job scope, and current market data.
