Position Overview:
The Senior Water Resources Engineer will engage in the design and construction of water and wastewater projects; accountable for generating design calculations, technical documentation, permitting, and comprehensive engineering plans and specifications for projects such as facility upgrades, storage solutions, stormwater management systems, pump stations, and distribution/collection networks.

Key Responsibilities:

In this position, you will concentrate on projects associated with the engineering and construction of water and wastewater systems, including enhancements to treatment facilities, creation of storage solutions, stormwater management, pump stations, and distribution or collection networks.

Your responsibilities will encompass the development of design calculations, drafting of technical reports, preparation of permitting materials, and formulation of detailed engineering plans and specifications.


Additional Duties Include:

Conducting structural engineering investigations and planning activities. Creating engineering and construction drawings, specifications, bid packages, and cost assessments. Collaborating with various engineering disciplines, project teams, clients, and subcontractors throughout project lifecycles. Fostering effective teamwork and building strong relationships with colleagues involved in client projects. Investigating the feasibility of alternative design strategies, site conditions, and regulatory requirements. Traveling (up to 25%) to meet project needs.

Essential Qualifications:

Bachelor's Degree in Structural or Civil Engineering or a related discipline. Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience. EIT certification.

Key Skills and Attributes: Proficient in structural analysis and design. Familiarity with STAAD Pro and other structural engineering software. Strong verbal and written communication abilities.

Skills should include public speaking, teamwork, preparation and development of technical documents, and prior client engagement and relationship management as part of the project team. Experience in preparing, reviewing, and approving project drawings, specifications, schedules, and cost estimates. Proficient in AutoCAD/REVIT software and MS Office applications. Comprehensive knowledge of building codes and standards such as IBC, ACI, etc.


Preferred Qualifications:

Professional/Structural Engineer License. Experience in structural engineering within the water/wastewater sector.
