**Residential Youth Counselor Opportunity**
Children's Home of Reading Youth & Family Services is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Youth Counselor to join our team in a residential treatment program. As a key member of our staff, you will provide guidance, support, and supervision to residents in our Mathom House & Easton Manor Programs.
Responsibilities:- Establish Trusting Relationships: Demonstrate effective counseling, communication, and parenting skills to build strong relationships with residents.
- Maintain Safety and Security: Ensure the well-being and safety of residents and the facility.
- Supervise and Engage Residents: Actively supervise residents during academic instruction, recreational activities, and in common areas of the facility.
- Collaborate with Clinical Staff: Work with clinical staff and case managers to create residential behavioral goals.
- Document Progress: Maintain electronic health records (EHR) and reports to track residents' progress toward behavioral goals.
- Education and Experience: Bachelor's Degree in a social or human services related field, or High School Diploma/equivalent with at least two years of experience working with youth.
- Computer Skills: Basic computer skills and ability to learn software applications.
- Clearances: Must pass criminal history (including FBI) and child abuse history clearances.
- Driver's License: Must possess a valid driver's license.
- Age Requirement: Must be at least 21 years of age.
