Job Summary
Patient Care Technicians play a vital role in the healthcare industry, providing essential support to medical professionals and patients alike. As a Patient Care Technician with Premier Health Partners, you will be responsible for performing technical and clinical tasks under the supervision of a Registered Nurse.
Key Responsibilities
- Identify and report abnormal findings to the Registered Nurse, utilizing established standards and guidelines.
- Assist with patient care activities, such as vital sign monitoring and documentation.
- Provide emotional support and comfort to patients and their families.
- Collaborate with the healthcare team to ensure seamless patient care.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or Equivalent (Required)
- Current Healthcare Provider or Professional Rescuer BLS CPR certification
- Preferred experience in medical terminology
- Successful completion of one of the following:
- Nurse's aide training course (CNA) within the last five years
- Valid STNA
- Patient Care Technician/Assistant certification
- Six months Direct Patient Care experience within the last twelve months
- Experience in an Acute Care setting within the last six months
- Currently enrolled in nursing school and completion of at least one clinical rotation
Preferred Qualifications
- Basic computer knowledge
- Strong organization skills
- Effective interpersonal and communication skills
