Job Summary

Patient Care Technicians play a vital role in the healthcare industry, providing essential support to medical professionals and patients alike. As a Patient Care Technician with Premier Health Partners, you will be responsible for performing technical and clinical tasks under the supervision of a Registered Nurse.

Key Responsibilities

  • Identify and report abnormal findings to the Registered Nurse, utilizing established standards and guidelines.
  • Assist with patient care activities, such as vital sign monitoring and documentation.
  • Provide emotional support and comfort to patients and their families.
  • Collaborate with the healthcare team to ensure seamless patient care.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or Equivalent (Required)
  • Current Healthcare Provider or Professional Rescuer BLS CPR certification
  • Preferred experience in medical terminology
  • Successful completion of one of the following:
    • Nurse's aide training course (CNA) within the last five years
    • Valid STNA
    • Patient Care Technician/Assistant certification
    • Six months Direct Patient Care experience within the last twelve months
    • Experience in an Acute Care setting within the last six months
    • Currently enrolled in nursing school and completion of at least one clinical rotation

Preferred Qualifications

  • Basic computer knowledge
  • Strong organization skills
  • Effective interpersonal and communication skills
