Job Title: Special Education Teacher

Thresholds High School is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Special Education Teacher to join our team. As a lead teacher in the classroom, you will educate a class of up to 8 students with ongoing serious mental health needs.

Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement lesson plans tailored to the students' Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) and aligned with state and district curriculum guidelines.
  • Supervise and instruct the class with the assistance of a teacher's aide, ensuring a safe and supportive learning environment.
  • Monitor and grade student performance, providing individualized support to help students achieve their academic goals.
  • Document student progress, including standardized test results and attendance records.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Education or Special Education; Master's degree preferred.
  • Current Learning Behavior Specialist 1 (LBS1) license required.
