Palliative Care Physician Assistant Opportunity

We are seeking a compassionate and skilled Palliative Care Physician Assistant to join our team at Parkland Health & Hospital System. As a Palliative Care Physician Assistant, you will work closely with our interdisciplinary team to provide high-quality, patient-centered care to individuals with serious illnesses.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide comprehensive care to patients with serious illnesses, including pain and symptom management, and coordination of care.
  • Collaborate with our interdisciplinary team, including physicians, nurses, and social workers, to develop and implement individualized care plans.
  • Conduct thorough assessments of patients' physical, emotional, and social needs, and develop plans to address these needs.
  • Order and interpret diagnostic tests, and prescribe medications as needed.
  • Document patient care and progress in a timely and accurate manner.

Requirements:

  • Master's degree in Physician Assistant Studies or a related field.
  • Current certification as a Physician Assistant.
  • Experience in palliative care or a related field.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
