Palliative Care Physician Assistant

Baylor Scott & White Health is seeking a highly skilled Palliative Care Physician Assistant to join our team. As a licensed, certified, non-physician healthcare provider, you will play a critical role in delivering high-quality patient care and providing medical services in a specialty clinic setting.
Key Responsibilities:- Assess patients' physical and mental conditions through comprehensive examinations and medical histories.
- Order, collect, and interpret laboratory and diagnostic tests to evaluate patient problems and healthcare needs.
- Prescribe and recommend medical therapies, treatments, and procedures in accordance with approved protocols and policies.
- Develop and implement comprehensive patient treatment plans based on patient assessments, evidence-based medicine, and professional practice guidelines.
- Counsel patients and families regarding medical processes, health management, and health promotion.
- Maintain accurate records of patient treatment plans and outcomes.
- Current license to practice as a Physician Assistant in the state of Texas.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification within 30 days of hire or transfer.
- Current certification by the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistant (NCCPA).
