Job Summary

The successful candidate will be responsible for filling and verifying medication orders, performing medication reviews, instructing patients on proper medication use, and advising patients on general health topics. They will also oversee the work of pharmacy technicians and pharmacists in training, monitor inventory levels, and contribute to maintaining a positive environment for staff and patients.

Responsibilities
  • Filling and verifying medication orders
  • Completing comprehension and efficiency of pharmacy operating software
  • Performing medication reviews for interactions and patient safety
  • Instructing patients on proper medication use and informing them about potential side effects
  • Advising patients on general health topics and other issues
  • Give flu shots and other vaccinations as needed
  • Overseeing the work of pharmacy technicians and pharmacists in training
  • Keeping records and performing other administrative tasks
  • Teaching other healthcare practitioners about proper medication therapies
  • Monitoring and assisting in maintaining inventory levels
