We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Registered Nurse to join our team at the University of New Mexico - Hospitals. As an Ambulatory Care Nurse, you will provide direct nursing care to patients in a variety of settings, including the Emergency Room. You will work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team to deliver high-quality patient care and promote a positive work environment.
Key Responsibilities- Provide direct nursing care to patients, including assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of care
- Collaborate with the healthcare team to develop and implement individualized care plans
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians
- Monitor patients' conditions and report any changes or concerns to the healthcare team
- Participate in orientation and precepting of new personnel
- Current RN licensure in New Mexico or reciprocal agreement
- CPR for Healthcare/BLS Provider or Professional Rescuer certification
- Basic Arrhythmia Certification within 1 year
- PALS certification within 6 months
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support Certification within 6 months
- Trauma Nursing Core Course (TNCC) certification within 6 months
This is a heavy work position that requires exerting 50 to 100 pounds of force occasionally, and/or 25 to 50 pounds of force frequently, and/or 10 to 20 pounds of force constantly to move objects or people. Chemicals and biohazardous materials require personal protective equipment.
