As a Lead Salesforce Engineer, you will oversee the technical dimensions of Salesforce initiatives, working closely with cross-functional teams, including sales, success, and support operations leaders and analysts. Your proficiency in Salesforce development, configuration, customization, integration, and industry best practices will be vital in driving the success of our Salesforce projects.
You will also play a key role in mentoring and guiding junior engineers, promoting a culture of ongoing learning and enhancement.
How You'll Contribute
- As a senior member of the Salesforce engineering team, you will direct project development from requirements gathering to deployment on Salesforce and related tools.
- Lead the design, development, testing, and deployment of Salesforce solutions utilizing Apex, Visualforce, Lightning components, and other associated technologies.
- Collaborate with business analysts and stakeholders to collect requirements and convert them into technical solutions that align with business objectives.
- Customize and configure Salesforce to meet intricate business processes and requirements.
- Execute data migrations and integrations between Salesforce and other systems using APIs, middleware, and ETL tools.
- Architect and implement solutions that adhere to best practices in security, scalability, and maintainability.
- Provide technical leadership and mentorship to junior engineers, conducting code reviews and ensuring adherence to high-quality coding standards.
- Diagnose and resolve issues related to Salesforce applications, integrations, and customizations.
- Stay informed about the latest Salesforce features, releases, and industry trends to propose innovative solutions.
- Work alongside the QA team to ensure comprehensive testing of applications and address any defects.
- Engage in the evaluation and selection of new tools, technologies, and processes to enhance the development and deployment workflow.
- Contribute to the creation and maintenance of documentation related to architecture, design, and technical processes.
Who You Are
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
- A minimum of 5 years of practical experience in Salesforce development.
- Salesforce Platform Developer certification is mandatory; additional certifications such as Application Architect or System Architect are advantageous.
- Expertise in Apex, Visualforce, Lightning Components, and other Salesforce development technologies.
- Strong grasp of Salesforce integration patterns, REST and SOAP APIs, and data migration methodologies.
- Experience with version control systems and continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD) practices.
- Solid understanding of software development best practices and design patterns.
- Exceptional problem-solving abilities and the capacity to troubleshoot complex technical challenges.
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to effectively engage with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Leadership qualities and the ability to mentor and guide junior engineers.
- A proven history of delivering high-quality solutions on schedule and within scope.
The compensation range for this position is outlined below. This role is also eligible for variable compensation and hourly non-exempt roles are entitled to overtime in accordance with applicable law.
