Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Accounting Analyst - Information Services to join our Corporate Information Services department. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for supporting business operations from a financial perspective, initiating and contributing to the development of annual operational and capital budgets, and investigating variances in budgets on a monthly basis.

You will also coordinate and participate in the development of annual projections for all applicable vendor contracts, initiate the processing of capital acquisition requests and associated purchase orders, and develop and maintain cash flow analysis for each contract.

Additionally, you will manage the payment of all invoices in a timely manner, including reviewing and obtaining required approvals, assigning correct POs to each invoice, working with purchasing to update PO line items, and working with Accounts Payable to facilitate invoice payment to the appropriate vendors.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Demonstrate analytical problem-solving skills
  • Research issues, propose resolutions to manager, and work to implement the selected resolution
  • Meet target dates, including delivery of the annual budget to Corporate Accounting and payment of all invoices in a timely manner
  • Work with other teams within the IS Department as required
  • Regularly exercise independent judgment and/or decision making
  • Maintain Service Excellence principles
  • Prepare and submit status reports to supervisor as required
  • Keep management well informed of activities, needs, problems

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree required
  • Significant relevant experience (5+ years) may be considered in lieu of educational requirement
  • One to three years of relevant experience required
  • Proficient with word processing, spreadsheet, and email software applications
  • A background in accounting or financial analysis
  • A quick learner and a motivated, team player who can think outside of the box
  • An organized, detail-oriented professional with excellent interpersonal communication and documentation skills
  • Demonstrates customer-oriented service excellence principles, as outlined in UHS corporate standards
  • Self-disciplined, able to work independently, but also able to take direction when necessary
  • Self-motivated to identify and resolve issues, and in advancing personal knowledge

Travel Requirements:

Up to 20% domestic US travel (may vary depending on need)
