About the Role

As a Propulsion Engineer, you'll take ownership of the design, analysis, implementation, and operation of propulsion system hardware for advanced spacecraft. You'll work within a fast-paced, agile environment, collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to deliver reliable and efficient propulsion systems from clean-sheet designs. Key Responsibilities
  • Lead the development of propulsion systems for spacecraft, including fluids, mechanical, electrical, and controls aspects.
  • Collaborate with engineering, manufacturing, and procurement teams to ensure efficient delivery of propulsion systems.
  • Manage communication and interface with external customers to ensure mission objectives are met.
  • Conduct design reviews and analyses to verify that propulsion hardware meets performance and functional requirements.
  • Plan, prepare, and execute system validation testing to ensure the success of propulsion systems.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues with creative and innovative solutions.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in engineering or a related scientific field.
  • 3+ years of experience in aerospace propulsion or a related area.
  • Strong understanding of the principles of fluid dynamics, thermodynamics, heat transfer, mechanics, and materials.
  • 3+ years of hands-on experience with fluid, mechanical, electrical, and controls systems.
  • Proven ability to conceptualize, design, fabricate, and test aerospace hardware.
  • Demonstrated ability to take ownership of projects and work effectively in small, collaborative teams.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Master's degree in Aerospace or Mechanical Engineering.
  • Experience working on all phases of spacecraft propulsion systems.
  • Familiarity with spaceflight propulsion standards, including NASA and DoD specifications.
  • Experience working in a startup environment.
