We are seeking an experienced and skilled Registered Nurse to join our team as a Elite Clinical Nurse Leader at El Paso Children's Hospital. This is a full-time, regular position.

About the Role

This role requires a dynamic and visionary leader who can oversee the functions of a team and assume managerial responsibilities. As a Clinical Nurse Leader, you will be responsible for supervising and evaluating patient care and nursing employees, ensuring that high-quality care is provided to patients.

You will also be responsible for clinical resources, coordinating preceptor activities, and developing, implementing, and evaluating unit-specific systems/activities. These efforts should result in organizational improvement and coordination of activities between shifts and clinical areas to ensure continuity of patient care.

In this role, you will provide clinical patient care to patients within your scope of licensure and practice. You will utilize your knowledge of professional practice in providing age-appropriate care based on scientific principles, standards of practice, and standards of patient care for patient populations.

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you must have:

  • Effective oral and written communication skills;
  • Bilingual proficiency (English/Spanish) is preferred;
  • The ability to read and comprehend English at a level necessary to follow written and oral instructions and safety precautions;
  • The ability to supervise and evaluate assigned staff;
  • The ability to foster and facilitate effective working relationships and team building;
  • The ability to negotiate and resolve conflict;
  • A willingness to accept and manage change;
  • The ability to analyze situations and solve problems;
  • Skilled in the use of computer systems and related software applications;

You must also have three years of experience as a Registered Nurse, preferably in a clinic setting or in a charge nurse role. Additionally, you must hold a current license as a Registered Nurse, CPR certification from the American Heart Association, ACLS and PALS certifications, and a Bachelor's degree in Nursing.

Location and Salary

This position is located in El Paso, Texas, United States. The estimated annual salary for this position is $94,000-$110,000, depending on experience.
