About the Role

We are looking for a Project Engineer who will be responsible for managing multiple engineering projects and personnel, both design and construction. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in civil engineering, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work closely with project managers to understand client needs and expectations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage planning, scheduling, and performance of multiple engineering projects and personnel
  • Work closely with project managers to understand client needs and expectations
  • Review and prepare preliminary reports and feasibility studies
  • Read and interpret engineering plans, specifications, and reports
  • Provide technical advice regarding design, construction, or modification and repairs to clients, contractors, and other staff members
  • Assist with business development activities, including client needs, research, and proposals
  • Coordinate construction administration and monitor documentation requirements with field staff

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering from an accredited college or university
  • Licensed Professional Engineer in the State of North Carolina
  • 4+ years' progressive experience in the civil engineering field, including experience working with municipal infrastructure
  • Experience in plan and specification development with construction contract administration
  • AutoCAD Civil 3D proficiency
  • Knowledge of MnDOT requirements
  • Possess a valid driver's license as travel to various facilities and job sites may be required
