Position Summary:

We are currently seeking a Janitor to join our team. This role, reporting to the Maintenance Manager, is essential for maintaining cleanliness throughout our facilities, ensuring that all areas are tidy and that waste is disposed of promptly.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform routine cleaning tasks including sweeping, vacuuming, and mopping floors.
  • Maintain cleanliness by emptying trash receptacles, servicing restrooms, and sanitizing communal areas.
  • Address heavy-duty cleaning requests as needed.
  • Ensure that outdoor pathways are clear and free from debris.
  • Report any maintenance needs to building management.
  • Properly mix and dispose of cleaning solutions.

Qualifications:

Preferred candidates will possess a High School Diploma or GED. The ability to operate heavy cleaning equipment and machinery is essential. Candidates should be capable of performing physical tasks such as walking, bending, pushing, pulling, and lifting throughout their shifts.

Knowledge of cleaning chemicals and their proper storage and disposal methods is important. Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment are necessary. Organizational skills and self-motivation to identify and complete tasks independently are also crucial.
