Job Description

MedPro Healthcare Allied Staffing is seeking a skilled CT Technologist to join their team in Sacramento, California.

As a CT Technologist, you will be responsible for operating CT equipment to produce high-quality images of patients' bones, organs, and tissue. You will work closely with radiologists to ensure accurate diagnoses and provide exceptional patient care.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Position patients for CT scans using immobilization and protective equipment as necessary
  • Appropriately set the controls of the related equipment, monitoring equipment and patient, making adjustments as necessary
  • Assist radiologists with imaging procedures, starting IVs, and injecting contrast, if applicable
  • Dispense oral contrast to patients for CT scans
  • Assist radiologists with interventional CT procedures
  • Evaluate CT scans for technical quality, collate processed images in sequence of exposure, and label appropriately
  • Schedule patients for procedures and assist with some clerical functions
  • Charge procedures and supplies used to the patient record
  • Load and operate power injections for contrast media administration

Requirements:

  • Eighteen months prior experience in a healthcare setting as a CT Technologist
  • Must be ARRT (CT) or ASRT certified
  • Most states require licensure
  • Ability to work independently as well as in a team environment
