Position Overview
As a Sales Associate, you will deliver exceptional customer service to enhance the dining experience for our patrons. Your primary responsibilities include processing transactions for our menu items, managing phone inquiries, handling takeout orders, and preparing delightful custard treats.

Key Responsibilities
  • Execute opening and closing procedures efficiently.
  • Maintain a friendly and courteous attitude at all times.
  • Promptly relay any customer feedback or concerns to the Manager on Duty.
  • Ensure cleanliness in your work area, regardless of location.
  • Answer phone calls professionally, using the greeting: "Thank you for calling, this is (Your Name Here). How may I assist you?"
  • Accurately take phone orders, ensuring to collect the customer's name and contact number while confirming their order.
  • Input phone orders into the POS system promptly to guarantee timely preparation.
  • Accurately take messages for management, including the caller's name, number, and the purpose of the call.
  • Stay focused and diligent during all monetary transactions to ensure register accuracy at the end of your shift.
  • Perform cleaning tasks such as sweeping, mopping, and sanitizing surfaces.
  • Maintain and polish counters, clean glasses, dishes, and fountain equipment.
  • Keep the dining area tidy and organized.
  • Oversee the condiment station to ensure it is well-stocked.
  • Follow the cleaning schedule for restrooms.
  • Wrap menu items for service or takeout efficiently.
  • Notify management immediately of any product shortages.
  • Carry out additional tasks as assigned by the Burgermeister or manager-on-duty.
  • Encourage customers to try additional menu items with each order.
  • Brew tea and ensure the drink cooler is stocked.
  • Prepare custards according to established specifications.
Qualifications
  • Demonstrated willingness to collaborate as a team player and work diligently.
  • Previous experience is beneficial but not mandatory.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with both management and kitchen staff, particularly with customers.
  • Physical capability to reach, bend, stoop, and frequently lift up to 25 pounds.
  • Ability to stand for extended periods, up to 10 hours.
