About the Role:

Grand Geneva Resort & Spa is seeking a skilled Banquet Set Up Part Time professional to join our team. As a key member of our Banquet team, you will be responsible for setting up banquet spaces, providing exceptional customer service, and ensuring the smooth execution of events.

Responsibilities:

  • Maintain the condition and cleanliness of banquet facilities, including cleaning, vacuuming, and shampooing carpets.
  • Set up banquet spaces as required per Banquet Event Order (BEO).
  • Provide service to customers as required per contract.
  • Perform breakdown of function rooms.
  • Assist in serving as needed.
  • Read and understand a Banquet Event Order (BEO).
  • Organize, control, and restock linen room and storage areas.
  • Organize and control inventory and storage.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements:

  • Any combination of education and experience equivalent to a graduation from high school or any other combination of education, training, or experience that provides the required knowledge, skill, and ability.
  • To take and pass all training provided and required by the banquet department to complete daily operational job duties.
  • Must maintain a neat, clean, and well-groomed appearance.
  • The ability to lift and carry equipment such as tables up to 60 lbs.
  • The ability to push/pull objects weighing up to 200 lbs.
  • Ability to stand for long periods of time and walk for considerable distances.
  • Prior hospitality/customer service experience preferred.
  • Must have a basic knowledge of food and beverage service standards.
  • Knowledge of appropriate table settings and proper set-up.
  • The ability to remain calm under stress.
