Eligibility to work in the U.S. is required - No sponsorship available

Position Overview:
Responsible for estimating and budgeting for all Industrial Piping, Equipment, Structural, Civil works, HVAC/Air Systems, and intricate mechanical systems. Oversee the process from the initial receipt of plans to the final bid or proposal.

Key Responsibilities:
1. Understand and apply Union Trade agreements relevant to each estimate.
2. Engage in bidding processes, including obtaining specialty quotes, equipment pricing, and subcontractor bids.
3. Generate requests for bids from subcontractors and vendors, confirming their participation.
4. Analyze specifications and drawings prior to take-offs.
5. Complete all necessary estimating documentation to prepare a comprehensive estimate recap.
6. Regularly update pricing and labor information in the estimating software.

Required Skills:

• Proficient technical knowledge of mechanical systems, construction methodologies, and industry operations.
• Basic understanding of construction financial management.
• Experience in interpreting construction drawings and specifications.
• In-depth knowledge of estimating for piping and/or sheet metal systems.

• Ability to design plumbing, piping, and/or sheet metal systems with a solid grasp of the Uniform Plumbing Code.

• Collaborative team player with effective communication skills.
• Competent in using spreadsheets, such as Excel, for data entry, manipulation, and basic programming.

Supervisory Duties:
Oversee appointed Project Engineers and Project Coordinators throughout the estimating process.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience.
• Minimum of 5 years of estimating experience in the Industrial/Mechanical sector.
• Advanced computer skills are essential.

Certifications:
Maintain a valid Driver's License and a satisfactory driving record.
