Position Overview

The Registered Nurse (RN) plays a crucial role in delivering and documenting specialized nursing care tailored to each patient's unique care plan and physician directives while maintaining confidentiality and professional standards at all times.

Key Responsibilities
  • Ensure the effective delivery and coordination of high-quality patient care in alignment with physician orders.
  • Continuously monitor and evaluate patient conditions, promptly reporting any changes to the supervising nurse or physician.
  • Accurately document all nursing activities, assessments, and care coordination in a timely manner.
  • Develop, implement, and revise nursing care plans as necessary.
  • Take appropriate nursing actions based on thorough assessments to achieve desired patient outcomes.
  • Identify changes in patient needs and responses that require intervention, implementing care strategies to mitigate risks.
  • Uphold personal and professional accountability by adhering to company policies, state and federal regulations, and the Nurse Practice Act.
  • Utilize infection control measures to safeguard both staff and patients in accordance with OSHA standards.
  • Educate patients and their families about disease processes, self-care techniques, and preventive measures to meet nursing needs.
  • Engage in ongoing professional development through educational programs and skill evaluations to maintain nursing competencies.
Qualifications
  • Graduation from an accredited Diploma, Associate, or Baccalaureate School of Nursing.
  • Possession of a current, unrestricted state license as a Registered Nurse in the practice state.
  • Current CPR certification.
  • Proven proficiency in clinical assessments, documentation, and adherence to nursing policies and procedures.
State-Specific Requirements
  • Experience in pediatrics for South Carolina candidates.
  • One year of nursing experience required for California and Louisiana candidates.
  • Continuing education as mandated by state regulations.
Preferred Experience
  • At least six months of recent experience as a Licensed Nurse in a clinical setting.
  • Experience in home health care.
Essential Skills
  • Strong attention to detail and time management abilities.
  • Effective problem-solving and conflict resolution skills.
  • Excellent organizational and communication skills.
Physical Requirements
  • Ability to communicate effectively in English, both verbally and in writing.
  • Capability to travel as needed and lift up to 50 pounds.
  • Physical stamina for prolonged walking, standing, bending, kneeling, reaching, and twisting.
  • Ability to respond appropriately to emergency situations in various environments.
Work Environment

Must be adaptable to diverse environments, which may include exposure to allergens and other conditions, as well as potential exposure to blood, bodily fluids, and infectious diseases.
