Security Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled Security Officer to join our team at LaFollette Medical Center. As a key member of our security team, you will be responsible for ensuring the safety and security of our patients, visitors, and staff.
Key Responsibilities- Respond to criminal complaints and incidents, exercising sound judgment and discretion in the use of force.
- Conduct surveillance and patrols to prevent and deter crimes, and interview witnesses and suspects to investigate security incidents.
- Accurately complete records, reports, and investigations in a timely manner, and brief management on security matters.
- Coordinate the resolution of security incidents, track criminal activity, and plot trends to prevent and deter crimes.
- Follow up to ensure identified safety hazards are corrected, and make timely and effective responses to calls for assistance.
- Investigate issues involving suspicious persons, and make sound judgment decisions regarding the need for additional security assistance.
- Maintain proficiency in responding to chemical and biological terrorist activity, and perform traffic control as necessary during disasters.
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Ability to remain calm and composed in high-pressure situations.
- Basic first aid and CPR certification.
