Position Overview:
This role entails advocating for insured clients and the organization in the defense against bodily injury and property damage claims, as well as subrogation and financial matters.
Moreover, the position includes advising corporate clients on routine legal matters, overseeing projects, and fostering collaboration among legal teams.
The ideal candidate will also stay informed on emerging laws, regulations, and case law, offering insights on how these developments affect the organization.
Core Responsibilities:- Assess new case assignments and endorse initial pleadings, discovery, and strategic plans
- Maintain consistent communication with clients
- Prepare witnesses and clients for legal proceedings
- Conduct depositions and examinations under oath
- Prepare and represent in court appearances
- Manage settlement negotiations and dispositive processes
- Provide legal insights to claims clients
- Investigate and pursue subrogation litigation
- Oversee project management tasks
- Juris Doctorate degree and active membership in the relevant State Bar Association
- Up to seven years of experience in Insurance Defense, Subrogation, and/or Personal Injury litigation
- Experience in Trial and/or Arbitration is preferred
- Proficient in computer applications including Microsoft Office, Lexis, and internet tools
- Strong ability to collaborate within a team setting
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills
- Willingness to travel as needed
- Physical capability to engage in court-related activities
