Skillful Defense Expertise:
As an esteemed member of the Allstate Benefits team, we seek a seasoned Senior Trial Attorney to represent our insured and the Company in the defense of complex bodily injury and property damage lawsuits, subrogation, and Allstate Financial cases. This is an exceptional opportunity to leverage your expertise in Insurance Defense, Subrogation, and Personal Injury litigation to drive outstanding results.
Key Responsibilities:
- Case Management: Review new file assignments, approve initial pleadings, propound discovery, and develop a sound litigation strategy. Maintain regular contact with clients for a minimum of 90 days, discussing their case, answering questions, and providing guidance.
- Client Communication: Establish a strong rapport with clients, ensuring their needs are met, and expectations are managed throughout the litigation process.
- Document Review and Analysis: Conduct thorough reviews of all documentary evidence, identifying key points, and summarizing relevant information.
- Witness Preparation: Prepare clients and witnesses for depositions, arbitrations, mediations, and trials, including expert witnesses, to ensure they are confident and well-prepared.
- Court Appearances: Conduct depositions, examinations under oath, and prepare summary documents. Represent clients in court, managing matter management conferences, hearings, status conferences, and settlement/dispositive proceedings.
- Trial and Arbitration: Try and/or arbitrate cases, preparing motions in limine and summary documents. Draft post-trial motions and prepare for and participate in appeals.
- Subrogation and Litigation: Investigate and pursue subrogation litigation as appropriate, working closely with the legal team to ensure successful outcomes.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
- Education: Juris Doctorate degree and membership in good standing of the NJ State Bar.
- Experience: Up to seven years of Insurance Defense, Subrogation, and/or Personal Injury litigation experience, with a preference for trial and/or arbitration experience.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Lexis, and the internet, with a strong ability to work with various software applications.
Benefits and Compensation:
We offer a highly competitive salary range of $84,500.00-$149,750.00 per year, based on experience and qualifications.
