Civil Engineer - Water Infrastructure Project Management

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Civil Engineer to join our team in San Diego, CA. As a Civil Engineer at WHB Engineers, you will play a key role in the planning, design, and management of water infrastructure projects.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in civil engineering with 4-10 years of experience in water resources and site development understanding. You will work closely with our team to support and manage planning and design of pump stations, pressure regulating stations, pipelines, reservoirs, lift stations, chemical feed systems, and overall civil site development.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Involved with various water-related projects such as pipelines, pump stations, reservoirs, wells, lift stations, and treatment facility designs
  • Prepare and review technical memoranda, studies, reports, drawings, specifications, calculations, presentations, and miscellaneous contract documents
  • Conduct technical evaluations to support planning and design related to water and wastewater systems
  • Develop and implement project plans and schedules
  • Lead and coordinate civil design staff along with other disciplines to ensure timely completion and client satisfaction

Required Qualifications:

  • Professional Civil Engineering (PE) license in California is required
  • Bachelor's degree in civil or structural Engineering, master's degree is preferred but not required
  • Minimum of four years of practical work experience
  • Motivated self-starter, versatile, and interested in working on a variety of projects supporting the Water/Wastewater/Civil Team
