Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced Cultural Resources GIS Analyst to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for planning, designing, developing, implementing, and maintaining GIS data in accordance with project requirements. This includes performing simple to complex data analyses, database management, data migration, and mentoring other GIS personnel.
About the Role
- Lead the development of GIS projects consisting of vector, raster, and tabular data.
- Responsible for the development and production of reports, presentations, maps, and models for various environmental, utility, and cultural resources projects.
- Maintain and refine procedures for data collection, processing, and storage.
- Meet with clients and project teams to define data needs, project requirements, or required outputs.
- Perform quality control on database attributes.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Anthropology, Archaeology, or closely related field preferred.
- Associate's degree or other formal training in GIS or related program, plus 5 years of experience.
- Previous GIS project experience with a focus on cultural resource projects, assessment surveys, evaluative testing, monitoring, and field data collection.
