About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Audit Senior Associate to join our team at Eide Bailly. As a key member of our audit team, you will be responsible for providing expert guidance and support to clients in the government, healthcare, and non-profit sectors.

Responsibilities
  • Client Engagement: Initiate client engagement meetings, determine timelines, objectives, and expectations of an engagement.
  • Audit and Review: Perform audit, review, or compilation procedures for clients, including workpaper preparation, financial statement preparation, and report preparation.
  • Financial Analysis: Analyze and prepare trial balances, complex financial statements, and audit reports using audit software programs, Word, and Excel.
  • Reconciliation: Reconcile accounting information to control accounts.
  • Fraud Investigation: Conduct fraud interviews on an as-needed basis with CEOs, accountants, and other employees.
  • Staff Training: Review staff work, prepare high-risk audit sections, and draft financial statements.
  • Client Support: Provide financial analysis upon completion of fieldwork to improve client internal controls and accounting procedures.
  • Project Coordination: Coordinate various activities to meet client needs within a specified time frame.
  • Team Leadership: Train staff on the various aspects of an audit and delegate work based on availability and experience.
  • Professional Development: Attend training seminars, professional development, and networking events.
Qualifications
  • Education: Bachelor's Degree in Accounting (required).
  • Experience: 2-4 years of audit experience (required).
  • Professional Certifications: Valid Certified Public Accountant (CPA) license or working towards obtaining CPA license (preferred).
  • Skills: Well-rounded knowledge of auditing standards and accounting principles, proficiency with computers, Microsoft Office (Word and Excel), and various software packages.
  • Work Environment: Must be authorized to work in the United States now or in the future without visa sponsorship.
