Job Title: Anesthesia Equipment Technician

Company Overview: Kaiser Permanente is a leading healthcare organization seeking an experienced Anesthesia Equipment Technician to join our team.

Estimated Salary: $43,000 - $45,000 per year

Key Responsibilities:
• Maintain and service electronic and mechanical equipment used by the Anesthesia Department personnel.
• Set up transducers, calibrate monitors, assemble ventilator circuits, prepare procedural equipment such as CVP lines, arterial lines, and routine intravenous lines.
• Operate, calibrate, and perform routine maintenance on technical equipment used in the operating room, including anesthesia machines, physiological monitors, pulse oximeters, and rapid infusion systems.
• Identify malfunctioning equipment, troubleshoot problems, and refer complex issues to technical repair personnel when necessary.
• Assist in establishing a regular schedule of preventive maintenance and calibration of monitors used in anesthesia administration.

Requirements:
• High School Diploma or equivalent required; American Society of Anesthesia Technologist and Technicians (ASATT) certification preferred.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
• Working knowledge of Anesthesia department operations, basic instruments, and treatment procedures commonly used in anesthesia administration.
• Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos.
• Must possess an understanding of aseptic and infection control principles.
