Job Summary

Eaton is seeking a skilled Manufacturing Technician II to join our team in the ES AMER ARS PDCAD division. As a key member of our production team, you will be responsible for assembling, fitting, and mounting sub-assemblies, components, and standard and near-standard fixed assemblies in Motor Control Centers, Enclosed Control, and related assemblies and sub-assemblies.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assemble and fit parts and components to form sub-assemblies or completed assemblies.
  • Read shop orders and drawings to determine assembly procedures, including component types and configuration, mounting locations, and clearances required.
  • Utilize manufacturing information sheets to determine necessary parts, write requisitions, and obtain materials from stock areas.
  • Assemble and wire control devices, cutting wires to length, and make adjustments to ensure correct alignment and clearances.
  • Install units, pan assemblies, and cover up steel, meters, kirk keys, pull boxes, reactors, relays, fuses, MTB assemblies, panel boards, space heaters, transformers, and bus work such as lug adapters, cross-over bus, splices, etc.
  • Make pre-bent cable unit, MTB, and control panel harnesses using pre-cable boards, control panels, and hand crimp lugs if necessary.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or GED from an accredited institution.
  • Ability to work in the United States without corporate sponsorship now and in the future.
  • No relocation benefit is being offered for this position. Only candidates within a 50-mile radius of the work location will be considered. Active-Duty Military Service member candidates are exempt from the geographical area limitation.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Previous manufacturing or production experience.
Skills
  • Basic understanding of electrical or electronic concepts.
  • Ability to read and understand standard electrical control circuits.
