Position Overview

For over 126 years, Epworth Children's Home has evolved to meet the unique needs of children and families by offering a secure and supportive atmosphere, utilizing evidence-based methodologies, and implementing programs throughout the spectrum of care across South Carolina.

Role Summary:

The Director of Community-Based Services is responsible for managing all operational aspects of the Community-Based Program, employing the Homebuilders Model. This role involves assembling a team of Homebuilders Specialists and ensuring adherence to training protocols. It is essential that services are delivered by Community-Based Specialists in alignment with the Homebuilders Model, maintaining fidelity to all families and youth referred by various agencies.

The Director will collaborate closely with the HOMEBUILDERS consultant as mandated by model trainers and will participate in record evaluations and site assessments. An annual report outlining the strategy for the ongoing sustainability of services must be submitted. This position serves as a key liaison between Epworth and its referral partners, overseeing a team of three to five Community-Based Specialists.

Qualifications:

To qualify, candidates must hold a license from the South Carolina Department of Licensing Labor and Regulation (SCLLR) as one of the following: Licensed Psychologist (LP), Licensed Professional Counselor/Associate (LPC/A), Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist/Associate (LMFT/A), or Licensed Independent Social Worker-Clinical Practice (LISW-CP)/Licensed Master Social Worker (LMSW).

Additionally, a minimum of two years of direct social service experience is required.

Candidates should possess a belief system and engage in faith practices that align with those of the United Methodist Church.

Successful candidates must also pass standard background checks, including drug screening, employment physicals, SLED, DSS Central Registry, and Sex Offenders Registry.
