Job Summary

The Production Supervisor is a key member of the Manufacturing Production Team at Tesla. This role is responsible for leading the development, implementation, and application of Tesla's Production System. The ideal candidate has a proven track record of success in implementing and applying production systems in a manufacturing environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and maintain Standardized Work Instructions used by production associates
  • Support the development of Process Failure Modes Effects Analysis (PFMEA) to identify critical risks in production processes
  • Develop training programs and hire plans for production associates
  • Support control plans to ensure critical features are controlled through the production process
  • Manage production associates and develop team structures used in the Tesla Factory
  • Support issue resolution, including root cause investigation and corrective action tracking
  • Ensure quality standards are met throughout the production process
Requirements
  • Experience and thorough knowledge of high-volume production systems and processes
  • Experience managing teams of people in a production environment and hiring and developing new team members
  • Experience in new product development and launch activities
  • Ability to work with and develop production performance metrics (efficiency, quality, safety, throughput, costs)
  • Able to work well under pressure while managing competing demands and tight deadlines
  • Remain engaged, proactive, and positive in tough circumstances, owning assignments and taking full accountability for success
