Job Title: Database Administrator

About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Database Administrator to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for planning, coordinating, and implementing security measures to safeguard computer databases. This includes developing standards and user guidelines to access database, modifying existing databases and database management systems, and scheduling, planning, and supervising the installation and testing of new products.

Key Responsibilities
  • Plan, coordinate, and implement security measures to safeguard computer databases.
  • Develop standards and user guidelines to access database.
  • Modify existing databases and database management systems.
  • Schedule, plan, and supervise the installation and testing of new products.
  • Monitor database performance and develop optimum values for database parameters.
  • Specify users and user access levels.
  • Identify and evaluate industry trends in database systems.
  • Test and implement database and coordinate modifications.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science or information technology or related field.
  • Five (5) years of relevant experience may be substituted for the bachelor's degree or master's Degree/MBA in related field may be substituted for bachelor's degree and 3 years' experience OR PhD in related field may be substituted for bachelor's degree and 7 years' experience.
  • Must possess or be able to obtain MRPT clearance.
Preferred Qualifications

Higher degrees and specific certifications are preferred. Certification programs such as Oracle Certification Program and Microsoft Certified Database Administrator are highly valued.
