Primary Care Physician Opportunity in California

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled Primary Care Physician to join our team at Elevance Health. As a Primary Care Physician, you will be responsible for providing high-quality medical care to patients in our Downey, California clinic location.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide medical patient care by interviewing, examining, and treating clinical patients.
  • Educate patients and families on wellness, prevention, and early detection.
  • Provides referrals based on examination and patient needs.
  • Participates in quality improvement, management, continuing education, and patient care programs.
  • Assists in the resolution of complaints, requests, and inquiries from patients.
  • Maintains confidentiality of all patient information according to federal guidelines and regulations.
  • Completes medical records (EMR) documentation daily.
  • Covers night calls as needed.

Requirements:

  • Requires a MD or DO.
  • Requires current unrestricted medical licensure in California and board eligibility or board certification.
  • DEA license required.
  • For Carelon Health business unit, satisfactory completion of a Tuberculosis test is a requirement for this position.

Preferred Qualifications:

Spanish speaking candidates STRONGLY preferred.

Compensation and Benefits:

The salary range for this position is $226,228 to $339,342. In addition to your salary, Elevance Health offers a comprehensive benefits package, incentive and recognition programs, equity stock purchase and 401k contribution.

Work Environment:

Elevance Health operates in a Hybrid Workforce Strategy. Associates are required to work at an Elevance Health location at least once per week, and potentially several times per week. Specific requirements and expectations for time onsite will be discussed as part of the hiring process.
