Sanitation Supervisor

Wonderful Citrus is seeking a highly skilled Sanitation Supervisor to join our team. As a Sanitation Supervisor, you will be responsible for supervising and coordinating the sanitation program to ensure consistent end-of-shift and operational cleaning that meets GFSI, customer, and internal requirements.

• Supervise a team of employees responsible for office housekeeping, operational sanitation, and end-of-production sanitation.
• Maintain and review sanitation records, initiating corrective actions as needed.
• Verify accuracy of Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and update as necessary.
• Lead all safety meetings, incident investigations, follow-ups, and audits, representing the area in Safety committee meetings as a Safety Champion.
• Assist in continuous improvement efforts in Safety, Quality, Efficiency, Cost, Productivity, and Utilization.
• Monitor team members' hours, breaks, lunch periods, and schedules to minimize production downtime.
• Coordinate and assign work of sanitation employees each shift, managing requisitions and schedules within the sanitation budget.
• Conduct Safety and Food Safety audits to ensure compliance with WC standards, maintaining audit readiness for Corporate, GMP, Government agencies, or other third-party audits.
• Manage chemical and cleaning supply inventory, ensuring availability and making purchase requisitions as needed.
• Complete disciplinary actions as needed for non-compliant associates, in accordance with the employee manual and/or department standards and expectations.
• Maintain ATP results and microorganism levels within company standards, initiating corrective actions for repetitive failures.
• Provide timely and accurate reporting in compliance with quality and food safety programs, including sanitation inspections, sanitation/food safety violations, and corrective actions to resolve deficiencies.

• Bachelor's degree in Food Science/Engineering/Chemistry or other relevant sciences, with 1-3 years of experience in quality/manufacturing/sanitation management roles.
• Food processing sanitation experience, knowledge of food safety and regulatory requirements.
• Ability to work independently and in a team-based environment, communicate effectively orally and in writing, and make decisions within the scope of the job.
• Effective analytical and problem-solving skills, with a working knowledge in a manufacturing setting.
• HACCP certification preferred, experience with fruit and automated packing equipment a plus.
