RN - Critical Care Unit - Full Time - Nights

We are seeking a skilled Registered Nurse to join our Critical Care Unit team. As a critical care nurse, you will provide high-quality patient care to critically ill patients, working collaboratively with the multidisciplinary team to achieve desired patient outcomes.
Responsibilities- Assess and evaluate patient physical, psychosocial, environmental, spiritual, social, and educational needs, documenting patient/family responses to nursing interventions.
- Develop and implement patient care plans, including discharge plans, based on standards of nursing practice, health center policy, and patient/family needs.
- Guide and direct patient care activities for the above-indicated population, utilizing clinical/critical thinking skills and evidence-based practice.
- Provide daily direction and guidance to Licensed Practical Nurse and Nurse Assistant.
- Provide, facilitate, and/or implement learning opportunities to meet the educational needs of patient/family, assessing learning needs and formulating and initiating a teaching plan.
- Effectively communicate pertinent patient changes/conditions to colleagues and multidisciplinary caregivers.
- Attend and participate in departmental/organizational meetings, in-services, and educational opportunities.
- Current RN licensure in the state of Iowa.
- Associate Degree in Nursing or graduate from an accredited RN program required.
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing preferred.
- Previous experience in acute care preferred.
- Preferred certification in CCRN.
- Education Assistance offered.
