Job Summary

The Interior Installation Technician II is a key member of our team at Gulfstream Aerospace Corporation, responsible for the safe and efficient removal, installation, and fabrication of aircraft interiors. This role requires strong technical skills, attention to detail, and excellent communication abilities.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Interior Installation and Fabrication: Safely perform aircraft removal, installation, and/or fabrication of aircraft interiors, including trim, carpet, soundproofing, light structure, cabinetry, panels, and other accessories.
  2. Material Tracking and Quality Control: Use the material tracking system to create parts demand, track squawks, and sign-off work, ensuring compliance with Repair Station procedures, internal and FAA paperwork, and quality specifications.
  3. Tool and Equipment Maintenance: Follow standard operating procedures when using tools and equipment, properly care for and maintain shop equipment and tools, and ensure their safe use.
  4. Aircraft Interior Preparation and Installation: Prepare and install aircraft interior items in accordance with company operation procedures and quality standards.
  5. Fastener Removal and Reinstallation: Remove and re-install nut plates, inserts, and other fasteners used in aircraft interiors, applying proper use of hardware and fittings on aircraft installations.
  6. Safety and Housekeeping: Comply with safety, 5S, and housekeeping policies, use personal protective equipment as required, and address unsafe conditions before putting people or property at risk.
  7. Assistance and Adaptability: Assist technicians, under supervision, with aircraft maintenance requirements, adapt to sudden schedule changes, and work with lead and higher skilled technicians to develop and implement process improvements.
Requirements
  1. Language and Communication: Ability to read, write, speak, and understand the English language.
  2. Blueprint and Documentation Reading: Ability to read and interpret blueprints and engineering documentation.
  3. Tool and Equipment Operation: Ability to use hand/power tools and equipment associated with installation and removal of interiors.
  4. Physical Demands: Able to climb ladders and stairs, work in small restricted areas, lift up to 40 pounds, and work any shift.
  5. Computer Literacy: Must be computer literate.
  6. Excellent Communication: Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
